The Guides of Dream Catcher Charters
are led by veteran fishing guide, commercial fisherman,
decorated Us Coast Guard Veteran, 20 + years licensed
captain, and Florida Native Capt. Steven P. Lamp.
Capt. Stevens dedication to sharing a vast amount of knowledge daily
to ensure the quality of the Dream Catcher Charters is
evident in the success of each trip. Capt. Steven fishes
right along side of these guides learning from them as
well and together they build a knowledge base never seen
before in a charter company or fishing guides anywhere.
Dream Catcher
Charters was started back in 1992 as a private diving
and sight seeing operation. Steven moved to become a
full time Flats fishing guide in 1996. As time went on
and the advent of the internet as a way to reach
potential clients Capt. Steven successfully marketed his
was to well over 200 trips per year.
By 1999 He was
Offering the overflow to fellow fishing guides Capt.
Steven then opened The Keys To Key West as Key West's
first online reservation company, offering potential
clients not only fishing charters but great rates on
accommodations for his clients and other Key West
Activities as well including Excursions out to the Dry
Tortugas.
In 2000 Capt
Steven bought a second boat to offer clients a family
oriented family adventure. This charter was
designed to get the whole family out for a fun day on
the water offering fishing, snorkeling, sight seeing and
deserted island hops. Basically whatever the client
wanted to do.
Realizing
there was more to offer than just flats fishing for a select audience Dream Catcher Charters opened up
the options for visitors now offering backcountry fishing for groups of 4 or less to experience flats
fishing with a less pressured edge with the use of t
fishing boats like the Yellowfin 24 bay boat and the Action Craft Coastal Bay. This type
of fishing became so versatile for anyone who wanted to
Live the Dream that repeat clientele have filled the
schedule making need for more boats to offer this
charter to new clients as well.
In 2007 Dream
Catcher made a move to get back to the roots of it's
existence by adding a 32 ft Yellowfin Center Console.
This boat will be extremely versatile as a offshore
fishing boat offering clients an alternative to the
traditional sport fishing boat making deep sea fishing
affordable again. Wreck and Reef fishing is another
place where our 32 Yellowfin will be utilized bringing
Dream Catchers Full circle as the most Complete Charter
organization in the state.
All through the history of Dream
Catchers they have gained a reputation for a commitment
to quality not found in other organizations and
difficult to find in Independent operations. We feel
that our customers pay top dollar to fish with us they
deserve top dollar service and equipment with NO

Our are and have always been
state of the art. The Latest in technology and design to
do what we do. Boat builders have seen the marketing
potential that Dream Catchers has and make it affordable
for us to have new boats regularly to promote them to
our clients. We just moved all of our boating interest
to Yellowfin Yachts. We feel as though they are under
the same quality guidelines that we are. Driven to be
the best.
Our outboard motors are and have always been built by Mercury Marine and
Mercury Racing. It is not uncommon to be on one of our
boats and helping the industry move forward with
validating a new piece of motor technology. Many of the
motors we use are not even on the market yet let alone
old....
Daiwa Fishing Gear is what we use here at Dream Catcher Charters. Reels matched exactly to specification to what we do here in Key West with always new braided lines also from Daiwa and monofilament from Stren, Suffix and Ande.
