Getting quality information from other professional guides and peers on the water will help show you the best day possible. At Dream Catchers we have a "there is no secret" policy. If one of our professional fishing guides is on a spot that is being productive the rest know of it and if there is room all can fish it.

Being in the loop is essential to complete the trilogy of professional guiding. Rule number one.. You have to be on the water.. Rule number two. See Rule number one. Being in the loop knowing day to day changes in tide, weather, temps, water salinity, cloud cover effects, current changes, wind direction effects and the list goes on.. Our competitors spend a ton of time trying to tear us down. They will tell you that our guides are "hired" fishing guides.. They are right. All of the fishing guides of Dream Catcher Charters are hired by you to go fishing, even the Owner. Can you imagine a fishing guide that does not have to answer his phone to book business while on your charter? How about not having to worry about marketing, boat payments, insurance and breakdowns. Further more new motors every year on the incredible boats we run here made by Yellowfin Yachts. Take all that stress away from a fishing guide and you have a fine tuned device for finding you fish day in and day out. IF a fishing guide is good enough to make our team they start the training process. In that process most fall out, some make it. We dont ever just throw a guy on the water. The training process can take up to 4 months to do just the most basic of fishing charters. Most catch on faster than that. Most have extensive backgrounds fishing other arenas.

The fishing guides that work for Dream Catcher Charters are all aspiring independent fishing guides who want to learn, not just how to fish, but how to make guided fishing a way of life and living. We give them the tools to take on their own. We are proud that a few of our alumni have made a great life for themselves as independent fishing guides here in Key West and elsewhere.
