Ranger 2360 Bay Boat
Ranger 2360 bay boat cat is out of the bag. By the end of this week, we will have her completely rigged up and ready to go into service here at dream Catcher Charters. A brand new boat from Ranger and Bass Pro Shops. We are super excited with nice lines and the perfect power option with the Mercury 300 DTS Four stroke. We looked high and low at every different manufacturer that built a 23 to 24 foot Bay boat with a realistic bathroom and nice hard top shade option. We have always had bathroom boats here at Dream Catcher Charters and now we have two. They are the first boats to leave in the last boats to come home due to their popularity. This boat fit the bill very well. Working with Bass Pro shops was super easy and the boat has had 00 issue out of the box so far.
We picked up this boat motor and trailer package from the Bass Pro shop in Miami brand new straight off the floor boat motor and trailer just the way you see it here. Anytime we put a new boat online. We shake it down pretty hard, extensive testing making sure everything is where we need it and of course, making sure that it will handle all of our preferred items and how there will be installed. We do all of this work here at our shop.
Our shakedown findings have been outstanding so far. This boat has an amazing cruise fuel economy of just 4 miles to the gallon. The hole shot on this thing is worth noting as it comes on a plane like a dragster. We did not expect this boat to be super fast, however, top speed of over 50 has been seen loaded. We think the Mercury 300 four stroke is a perfect power option.
What will the Ranger 2360 Be Used For
Primarily the Range 2360 will be used for backcountry fishing charters here at Dream Catcher charters in Key West. This will cover, of course taking our clients tarpon fishing, flats fishing, and Marquesas Keys fishing. This boat will be a primary All In Wonder Fishing charter vehicle where we do as many different types of fishing as possible in one day.
Secondarily Ranger 2360 will help out on our Marquesas Keys, adventure, trips, and our sandbar trips. The boat came equipped with a JL sound system and some very cushy seats upfront for our leisure folks. The ladder to get in and out of the water is very nice as well and will serve to be handy on our private snorkeling trips.
How Will It Be Rigged
For starters, it will be everything PowerPole. We will be installing Power Pole state of the Art trolling motor the Move. Keeping the move moving will be the Powerpole Charge that will keep our Relion 36Volt trolling motor battery topped off while we go from spot to spot. Then to round off, we will be in installing the Power Pole 10 foot blades one pump system. This will be our second boat with the one pump – we love it!
In the dash this boat has the Mac daddy Lowrance HDS 16 with the three and one transducer on the transom that will cover our side view and down view with temp. We also have the B175 through hull for traditional sonar.
Lastly, for communications, we always rely on the ICOM m330 for our VHF needs.
For Fishing
The Ranger 2360 is very well put together for Fishing. First off, plenty of rod holders and all the right places. Next, let’s talk about Bait Wells two really big ones one well is underneath the leaning post which keeps the center of gravity of that heavy water right in the middle of the boat. Perfect then there’s a critter well upfront that will keep crabs and shrimp perfectly. Plenty of deck area for casting and fighting fish, such as tarpon. Even an Optional butt seat for the Long fights or folks that are not so good on their feet.
For Boating
Not too often do we see Fishing boats that are made for pleasure. The Range 2360 comes with an option for a full compliment of cushions that go on the bowel with back rests, making her super comfortable for folks. I just wanna go out and look around and enjoy the day on the water or maybe a Key West sandbar trip.
