With over 25 species of fish to chose from year round the backcountry fishing offers the largest diversity and catch volumes of any fishing charter in Key West.

Its where it all starts for many species of fish is the backcountry. As juveniles the mangrove islands are the perfect place to grow up and become part of the real world. Predators look for easy meals here in the backcountry around the islands and on the flats. The predators are what make backcountry fishing so much fun thats what we target.
Dream Catcher Charters has pioneer much of the backcountry fishing here in Key West. Fun For all ages and levels of experience our backcountry fishing charters can cater to everyone.
Anglers can use spin fishing gear, fly fishing or even bait casters. We use live bait and artificial lures and super light tackle to make it even more fun and exciting. We teach proper light tackle fishing techniques and casting. We have everything you will need to have an awesome day of catching fish.
Our backcountry fishing charters are where we conduct the "species hunt" fishing tournament. Our corporate groups almost always chose backcountry fishing for their group trips, just for the consistency of the fishery, everyone has fun and catches fish.
 We have two different types of boats that offer this fishing charter.
Our bay boats are super versatile and very easy to get around the shallows they can carry up to 4 persons. Although we suggest not more than 3 anglers per bay boat for backcountry fishing.
We also have our 28ft Center Console that will carry up to 6 persons has a bathroom and plenty of seating with some major fishing comfort.
Trip durations are 4, 6, and 8 hours. Departures are either morning or afternoon. Full day (8hour) departures are in the morning.
